FAQ

Does Nashville Woodcraft do custom woodwork?

Yes, we do.  About half of the woodwork products that we produce in our shop are for custom orders of all sizes.  We’ve done custom doors, kitchen islands, shutters, customs saloon style swinging doors, restaurant tables, restaurant serving ware, table tops, kitchen cabinets…the list goes on.  If you have an idea for a custom woodwork or piece of furniture you’d like made, we’d love to talk to you about it.

 

How do I inquire about custom woodwork?

What shipping carriers do you typically use?

We typically ship through UPS ground for domestic shipments.  Occasionally we will ship Fedex as it tends to be quicker and cheaper for shipments to Canada.  For US territories we tend to ship USPS as they’re the most efficient. 

 

How long does shipping time take?

On average, once in the carriers hands, most packages should arrive within 3-5 business days.  This does not include our own order processing time, which, depending on the item is typically between 5-7 business days. 

 

Do you offer expedited shipping?

Yes, we can do expedited shipping.  Please choose your shipping option at checkout.

 

Who is responsible for shipping costs for a returned item?

Unless the item has arrived defective or damaged, the customer will be responsible for return shipping costs. 

 

What happens if my item arrives damaged?

In the extremely rare event that your item gets damaged in transit, please shoot us an email at nashvillewoodcraft615@gmail.com to let us know.  We will handle the return shipping costs, and expedite you a new replacement item.   Please send us a couple pictures of the packaging as a it arrived, as it may be necessary for us to file a claim with the shipping carrier.  Save the box and packaging that the woodwork arrived in, as we will email you the return label to print and stick onto the box to be returned (unless the item is totally a lost cause, and then we won’t bother).  

 

How do I make a claim for a product that arrived damaged?

Please email us at nashvillewoodcraft615@gmail.com and provide us with pictures of the damaged item.  We will either refund you your money, or expedite you a new replacement product. 

 

How long does it take to replace an item that arrived damaged?

If an item has arrived damaged, we how frustrating that can be.  Provided that we have more of those in stock, we will expedite you a replacement ASAP.  Typically we can get the new item to the carrier to you within a couple days, and then please allow 3-5 business days for transit. 

 

Will modifying my product void the warranty?

Yes, modifying the product in any way will void the warranty. 

 

Are the charcuterie boards and butcher blocks finished with food safe finish?

Yes, all woodwork products that are intended to come into contact with food, will be finished with a food safe finish. 

 

Does Nashville Woodcraft do gift wrapping?

No, we do not offer specialty wrapping outside of our normal packaging procedures. 

 

Do you offer free returns?

We only offer free returns in situations where a product has arrived damaged or defective in some way, and the customer would prefer a full refund and return, rather than having the item replaced. 

 

Are Nashville Woodcraft products available internationally?

Currently our products are only available in the USA, Canada, and most US territories.
